Championing Better Work and Working Lives:

a celebration of Black Country skills

Date: Thursday, 22 May 2014
Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Location: Ramada Park Hall Hotel, Park Drive, Goldthorn Park, Wolverhampton WV4 5AJ.

> Are you a Black Country manufacturing employer keen to understand the challenges that face the local employment and skills agenda and how these challenges are being addressed by other employers, Further Education, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (BCLEP) and others?

> Do you want the opportunity to highlight your individual business needs to the BCLEP and CIPD and explore solutions with other employers?

This event will provide these opportunities and outline the skills that are key to the Black Country to drive and retain inward investment and how collaboratively organisations are working together to ensure a skilled workforce is readily available for employers across all sectors.

Key speakers include Peter Cheese, CEO, of the CIPD and Sarah Middleton, CEO, of the Black Country Consortium Ltd.

You should attend this conference if you want to:

• Explore the skills within the Black Country that are key to drive and retain inward investment to the region.
• Understand the challenges for the Employment and Skills Agenda in the Black Country from an employer, training provider, education and BCLEP perspective.
• Contribute your ideas and inform us of your business needs to address your skill shortage areas and what collectively needs to be done to address them.
• Listen to speakers from those key organisations in the Black Country who are working collaboratively to raise Employability, Education and Skills for those in work, for the unemployed and for those who will make up the future workforce.
