Black Country Skills Factory announces Winter Courses

The Black Country Skills Factory (BCSF) has announced details of its Winter Courses programme.

The BCSF offers a series of bite-size courses which are targeted at Black County businesses looking to upskill their workforce.  Whether you are looking for office skills or more technical training such as AutoCad or Solidworks, we have a good range of fully funded courses to meet most company’s needs.  

Throughout November and December we have bite sized courses in: Excel, Word, Autocad, Solidworks, Team Leader Training and Project Management.  See below for further details.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Provided by University of Wolverhampton, this is a two-part session – Essential Project Management Skills, followed by Successfully Managing Project Management Techniques.

Learn how to establish a Project Management team and how to organise for success.  Be able to identify which technique to apply and the impact on individuals and the organisation.

Be able to apply the knowledge in the workplace and improve work performance. Recognise good and poor practice and develop own tools and techniques in their industry.

EXCEL

Our Excel courses are varied and provided by Halesowen and Walsall College. These are a small selection:

Working with Dates & Text

Introduction to Excel

Looking up Data and Selection in Excel

Presenting & analysing data; graphs, charts & pivot tables

MICROSOFT OFFICE

Provided by Halesowen College, we currently have spaces available on courses for

Word – Manage Long Documents and Reports

AUTOCAD

This course is provided by the University of Wolverhampton. It includes:

Basic CAD fundamentals using tools, displays and lay plan options. Demonstrate CAD  fundamental tools for inserting a wide range of Autocad entries, from line types to text.

This allows the client the capacity to improve their skills when creating dimension styles for a variety of object types in many orientations and alignments.

SOLIDWORKS    

This course is provided by the University of Woverhampton:

The use of CAD fundamentals, using tools, display options and dimensioning properties.

Be able to apply the knowledge in the workplace and improve work performance. Recognise good and poor practice and develop own tools and techniques in their industry. REvolved Features workshop - create revolved features, apply special dimensioning techniques to sketches for revolved features.

Construction, including Building Technologies

Business Services

The Skills Factory bite-sized courses are fully funded via the European Social Fund (ESF) and are provided at no cost to businesses.  Suitable for any business size, you select the training you require with no limit on how many courses you can access.
